Satellite Shelters Joins Energy Coalition for Contractor Safety (ECCS)

Satellite Shelters, Inc. has recently become members with the Energy Coalition for Contractor Safety (ECCS) in an attempt to increase awareness of safety best practices for our employees and customers located in our local community in Mandan, ND.

ECCS Logo: Energy Coalition for Contractor SafetyThe ECCS is a group of companies located in North Dakota that works together to achieve workplace safety excellence through standardized workplace safety practices, training, and screening of its members’ employees. The Coalition Members work with local area companies and contractors to form consistency around safety policies and procedures. It is the Coalition’s intent to work with all contractors to help them improve the safety culture at local area plants and facilities.

What does it mean for Satellite?
As part of ECCS requirements, employees of Satellite Shelters had to complete minimum safety training as prescribed by the Coalition as well as complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health standards. Training can include OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety and Health or OSHA 10 Hour General Industry Safety and Health courses.

What does it mean for you?
Plants and Coalition participants that are located in North Dakota, South Dakota, or Wyoming, benefit by working with safe contractors, like Satellite Shelters, who are actively participating in a safety program that has been designed to reduce accidents and injuries which could affect site operations and productivity. Satellite and other ECCS companies represent a progressive, unified effort to improve the safety performance of contractors and employees within these states.
