Satellite Shelters would like to congratulate Sue Seawright of our St. Louis, Missouri team who was awarded the National Association of Women In Construction (NAWIC) Region 6 Rookie of the Year!
Every year, each NAWIC chapter nominates one ‘Rookie of the Year’ that has all of the following qualities and more. The nominee must 1) have been a member for 3 years or less, 2) demonstrate that they are willing to go above and beyond the call of duty in chapter, regional, and/or national activities, and 3) display leadership abilities marking them for success in their career as well as a future leader of NAWIC.
Sue Seawright has been described by her chapter as outgoing, organized, willing, and a leader. Although she is a newer member of NAWIC, she jumped into her chapter activities with both feet by participating on the Board of Directors, Co-Chairing an award winning community service project, and now serving as an officer for her chapter.
She reaches out and invites guests to membership events and is always working on recruiting new members. Chapter members describe her as a ‘dedicated spokeswoman’ for NAWIC. Her contacts in the industry are far reaching including reaching out to other national members through her employer.
The other leaders of NAWIC Region 6 see Sue Seawright, Rookie of the Year, as having a great deal of NAWIC Potential.
Satellite Shelters is proud to have Sue Seawright on our team and we congratulate her on this great achievement!
