The Wind Farm Story
An Iowa Wind Farm needed to install 16 new high efficiency wind turbines to replace several dozen outdated structures. In need of space for employees and contractors to work from while the project was underway, they turned to modular construction. After consideration of several options, the customer settled on Satellite Shelters to provide the quick turn around and expanded space needs that other options couldn’t offer.
The Solution
Due to unforseen circumstances, the amount of space initially required was doubled. Satellite was able to provide a 4 unit complex, 2 12×60 mobile offices, a double wide mobile office and 2 40′ storage container to give workers the adequate amount of space needed to work safely. Satellite was able to expand several of the interior offices and add additional rooms and offices to give the occupants the functionality they needed. These extra spaces included 2 extra offices, a custom IT closet and a break room with a kitchenette. With quick action from Satellite and the ability to fulfill a larger order than originally planned, our renewable energy partner was able to take on their project safely and without delay.
